About
We started Denver AI Tech because the existing options didn’t work.
Generic agencies sell strategy decks. Big firms charge $250K to start. Internal hires take a year and don’t know AI. We built the option that should exist between those: a fractional AI operations practice that ships working software at honest pricing.
The pattern we kept seeing
A gap the market hasn’t served.
Mid-market services businesses (50 to 500 employees in hospitality, professional services, agencies, healthcare admin, consultancies) have real operational problems AI could solve. Their teams are doing AI’s job by hand. Their ops manuals are buried in unread PDFs. Their leadership knows something has to change.
But the existing options don’t fit them. Generic agencies sell six-figure strategy engagements that end with a slide deck and no working software. Big consulting firms calibrate for enterprise contracts that start at $250K and require six months of procurement. SaaS vendors push generic chatbots that don’t know your business. Internal hires for an AI lead cost $200K loaded and take twelve months to find, if you can find one who has actually shipped systems.
What’s missing is the embedded fractional version: senior attention, two to three days a week, on retainer, until AI is woven into how the company runs. Working software, not slides. Productized pricing, not surprise quotes. Honest framing about when AI is the answer and when it isn’t.
That is what Denver AI Tech is built to be.
What we believe
Five things we won’t hedge on.
01
Working software beats strategy decks. Every time.
We’ve seen too many six-figure engagements end with a 60-page PDF and nothing in production. The deliverable is the system, not the document about the system.
02
Stack commitment beats vendor neutrality.
We picked the Anthropic substrate (Claude Code, Claude API, MCP) and route auxiliary models around it deliberately, not by reflex. Routing judgment refined across dozens of builds is part of what you pay for.
03
Fractional beats full-time for most companies under 500.
The economics aren’t there for a $200K AI hire. Embedded fractional senior attention, on retainer, gets you further than a junior in-house hire ever will.
04
Honest pricing is a moat.
The agency industry has trained buyers to expect surprise quotes and ten-hour scoping calls. We refuse to play. The price is the price.
05
Saying “AI isn’t the answer here” is sometimes the right consulting answer.
We say it when it’s true. Sometimes the answer is a spreadsheet, an SOP, or a different hire. We don’t sell AI; we sell better operations.
The team
Small. Accountable. Transparent about who’s doing the work.
